Small Plane Lands in Golf Course Pond

The Plano Fire Department says a small passenger plane made an emergency landing on the fairway of a golf course at Prestonwood Country Club Monday evening, ending up upside-down in a pond just yards from nearby homes. No injuries were reported to anyone on the ground or the lone occupant of the plane.Fire officials said the plane ended up in a pond on the second hole of the golf course, and the pilot managed to escape before the aircraft became nearly submerged in the pond.
